Chesterfield Solid Maple plank, a solid 3/4" premium grade Maple floor. Once installed a traditional 3/4" thick solid wood floor becomes a part of the home and its traditions as time passes. Beyond its original 25 year finish warranty, solid wood floors can be sanded and refinished providing, in many cases, centuries of service. Considering its original cost and term of service, a wood floor is arguably the least expensive floor you can own.

Unmatched durability of the finishing touch. The Chesterfield Series ISO factory certified 11 step finishing process uses 8 coats of German manufactured Treffic Ultra Violet cured Aluminum Oxide Finish. Beautiful finish depth combined with abrasion and scratch resistance results. Your solid new floor can be installed and walked on the same day. Today's No-Wax prefinished floors install with no sanding mess, no chemicals, and are simple to maintain. A slightly cantered micro-beveled edge gives lineal detail to each plank and improves the depth and texture of any room. The preferred slightly wider 3 1/4" profile and traditional random length planks make this floor a sure fit.

A. Solid Construction of Maple Hardwood from the top of the board to the bottom.

B. Dual expansion relief channels milled the entire length of the underside of the board improves its dimensional stability.

Q. Is this floor prefinished?
A. Yes, this solid Maple floor already has a UV cured finish applied to it. No additional finish is needed.

Q. How often do I have to wax this Maple floor?
A. Waxing this series is not necessary. The initial finish has a 25 year finish that needs no waxing.

Q. How many times can this floor be sanded and refinished?
A. The amount of sandings depends on how much wood is taken off each time. A general rule for 3/4" thick floors is 4-5 times.

Q. Can I install this floor over concrete?
A. No, this installs over a wooden subfloor as it requires a nail down installation method.

Q. My contractor told me to buy a floor with an aluminum oxide finish. Does this one have it?
A. Yes, it does.

Q. The color looks good online, can I get a sample to be sure?
A. Yes, samples are available for all colors of the Chesterfield Maple Solid.

Q. Is the Maple more popular than the Oak?
A. We have both Oak and Maple. More people are currently choosing Maple.

The Chesterfield Solid Maple Plank installs using the traditional nail down method over a wooden subfloor. Installing a traditional nail down, prefinished floor is a project for both the Do It Yourself homeowner or a professional flooring installer.

Using a 15 gauge nail and Pneumatic Flooring nailer, the nail is driven in at an angle through the top of the tongue. Placing the groove of the next plank over the tongue conceals the nail.
